City Hall Alternative Approval Process now closed

The Town of Ladysmith's Alternative Approval Process (AAP) has now closed.

The results will be announced on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 after the elector response forms have been certified by the Corporate Officer.

The Town launched an AAP last month to obtain elector approval that would permit borrowing 13.5 million dollars for the construction of a new City Hall on Buller Street. The deadline to submit elector response forms was on June 25 at 4:00 p.m.

As per provincial legislation, approval of the electors is obtained if the number of elector responses received is less than 10% of the number of electors within the Town of Ladysmith (741).
