Meetings of Council

Ladysmith Council meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm unless otherwise noted on our Council Minutes, Agenda and Video page. 

Council also meets as 'Committee of the Whole' on the second Tuesday of every second month at 6:30 pm to give preliminary consideration to proposed policies, services and/or other matters and make recommendations to Council.

Council and CoW agenda packages are published on our website on the Friday before each meeting.  

NEW: Beginning September 20, 2022, Council and CoW meetings will be held at the Ladysmith Seniors Centre at 630 2nd Avenue.  Members of the public may attend meetings in person.  From time to time Council may hold an electronic meeting and the public may also attend a designated location to view the online meeting.

Meetings will continue to be live streamed on our YouTube channel.

Have Your Say

Members of the public have several options to give input to Council:

  • Write a letter
  • Apply to appear at a meeting as a delegation (download the Delegation to Council Application) (applications must be in by 12 noon the Tuesday before the meeting requested)
  • Ask a question during Question Period at the end of each Council meeting

Agendas and Minutes

A full agenda package is prepared by the Friday before the Council and Committee of the Whole meetings and is available by clicking on the following links: Council Minutes and Agendas; Committee of the Whole Minutes and Agendas.  You can also read the agenda packages at City Hall.                          

Minutes of Council and Committee of the Whole meetings are posted on our website within a week after the meeting.
