Notice of Construction: 1st Avenue Wayfinding Signage

Dear Property Owners, Businesses and Residents:

The Town would like to inform you of an upcoming downtown improvement project that’s being completed over the next two weeks.

The contractor, Hudson Proctor Contracting, has been retained by the Town to complete ground preparation work prior to the installation of new tourism wayfinding signage.

The work is expected to begin on Monday, March 11th, 2024 with completion planned the following week.  There are 8 locations along 1st Avenue where Hudson will need to remove concrete, excavate the ground and replace concrete with a base for the signs.

During this period, you may experience:

  • Traffic control
  • Sidewalk closures
  • Noise from equipment (vacuum truck)
  • Barricades, flagging, delineation
  • Parking closures
  • Equipment on the road and sidewalk
  • Some benches and bike racks will be removed during construction
  • Workers in the area
