Remembrance Day Ceremony

On Friday, the Ladysmith community will gather at the Cenotaph for the Remembrance Day ceremony.

As part of the ceremony, 1st Avenue will be temporarily closed from High Street to Warren Street from 10:30am until 11:30am to allow the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #171 to conduct a walking parade to and from the Cenotaph.

The service will get underway at 10:45am at the Cenotaph.

In addition, one southbound lane on the Trans-Canada Highway near the Cenotaph will be closed due from approximately 10:00am to 1:00pm.

City Hall, Development Services and Infrastructure Services will be closed for Remembrance Day.  The Frank Jameson Community Centre (FJCC) will be operating on reduced hours.
