The Town of Ladysmith in conjunction with our Cowichan region partners is moving to Stage 3 Water Restrictions, effective immediately.
The Town understands this tightening of restrictions may run counter to the public’s expectations as we transition into the fall season.
However, to maintain consistency, Cowichan water purveyors have agreed to tie water restrictions to changes in the Provincial Drought Levels.
The Province increased the drought level last week to Level 4 for all of Vancouver Island; drought levels are reported weekly.
Ladysmith residents are encouraged to review the Stage 3 Water Restrictions information on our website and follow regulations as appropriate. We appreciate your cooperation in water conservation efforts.
