UPDATED: Collection update for Yellow and Red Route

UPDATE:
Residents on the Yellow Route are reminded that collections will continue on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 for any homes that were missed during yesterday’s makeup day.

Thankfully the rain and slightly warmer temperatures have helped melt some of the snow.
Town staff have confirmed that alleys are once again passable and safe for trucks to use.

Please place your items where the Waste Connections driver would normally find them. Do not place cans on the street if you would typically use the alley. Thanks for your cooperation.

If you have questions regarding service, please call the Collections Contractor Hotline – 250-245-5515.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Residents on the Yellow Route who were missed during regularly scheduled pickup today are kindly asked to bring their collections items back inside until Wednesday, January 12, 2022.
The roads were in good condition, however, snow berms and the additional steps around these obstacles in slippery conditions made the job a bit longer than expected for Waste Connections drivers.
We recommend that you bring items back inside and then place it back out at the curb on Wednesday. We apologize for this inconvenience.
Waste Connections will also have an extra truck on hand Friday, January 14, assisting with Recycling/Organics collection for the Red Route.
We understand that weather delayed a previously scheduled makeup day for the Red Route so please bring ALL your recycling to the curb and it will get trucked away.
Thanks for your ongoing patience and we'll continue to provide you with more information as we receive updates.
