Ladysmith, BC – The by-election is right around the corner, which means in just a few weeks’ time, Ladysmith will have a new mayor.
With that in mind, here’s a look at the key dates and the finalized candidate list.
When is the by-election being held?
Saturday, March 1 at the Frank Jameson Community Centre. You’ll be allowed to vote between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm.
Is there advance voting?
Yes. Advance voting will be held on Wednesday, February 19 and Wednesday, February 26 from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm at City Hall.
Can I vote by mail?
Yes. Mail ballot voting is available for all electors of the Town of Ladysmith. You are eligible to vote by mail if you are a resident of Ladysmith or live elsewhere in British Columbia but own property in Ladysmith.
Who’s running?
Following the January 31 deadline for withdrawal, the following individuals are officially running in the by-election.

Note: Murray McNab withdrew before the deadline.
