The Town of Ladysmith is teaming up with our community partners to host daily programming and events as part of BC Youth Week, May 1-7.
Youth ages 13-18 are invited to participate in seven days of fun-filled interaction and celebration taking place at various locations across town.
Youth Week is marked annually as an opportunity to strengthen the connection between teens and their communities and intended to highlight the interests, accomplishments and diversity of this age cohort.
The Town, Ladysmith Resources Centre Association and the Nanaimo-Ladysmith Public Schools are organizing local celebrations.
We continue to appreciate the involvement of our respective youth representatives on the Parks, Recreation and Culture Advisory Committee as well as the Official Community Plan Steering Committee.
Additionally, the Town’s Youth Plan has formed the path forward for engaging and involving youth in the community planning process, specifically to improve their resources and activities.
Register at RecCowichan using the course code on the promotional poster or call the Frank Jameson Community Centre at 250.245.6424
This event is intended to highlight the interests, accomplishments, and diversity of youth across the province.
