Temporary Stage 3 Water Restrictions in effect June 23 to June 25, 2021

Temporary Stage 3 Water Restrictions will be in effect for the Town of Ladysmith, Diamond Improvement District and Stz’uminus First Nation from Wednesday, June 23 to Friday, June 25, 2021.

This temporary but very important measure move will allow Town Public Works crews to perform scheduled maintenance on the Holland Lake Chicken Ladder intake.

Why do we need to go to Stage 3?

During the maintenance, Ladysmith's water supply will come exclusively from Stocking Lake (the Town normally draws water from both Holland and Stocking

Lakes, with Holland Lake being our main water source).

Moving to temporary Stage 3 Water Restrictions will help ensure adequate daily water supply during the maintenance.
