Town launches new online public engagement website

Ladysmith, BC The Town of Ladysmith is thrilled to launch Let’s Talk Ladysmith, a new online engagement platform that allows residents to provide input and feedback on Town projects and initiatives more easily.

Residents can access the public engagement website by visiting https://letstalk.ladysmith.ca/. Registration is required to participate, and feedback received on Let’s Talk Ladysmith will be considered by Town staff and Council as part of the decision-making process.

Let’s Talk Ladysmith will feature project pages, where residents can stay informed and updated on various Town initiatives, as well as past and future engagement opportunities. Residents will be able to provide their feedback and communicate with the Town through polls, surveys, interactive maps, Q&A sessions, forums, brainstorming activities, and more.

“We believe it’s important for all residents of Ladysmith to have the opportunity to share their feedback on Town projects and initiatives that impact the community,” says Acting Mayor Tricia McKay. “Let’s Talk Ladysmith is an accessible and user-friendly public engagement tool that empowers residents to voice their opinions and be an active part of shaping the future of our Town.”

The first project residents will be able to provide feedback on is the proposed new Ladysmith Skatepark, where participants can complete a short survey about what they would like to see at the new park.

Let’s Talk Ladysmith is powered by Engagement HQ's Bang the Table platform, which is used by municipalities across Vancouver Island including the City of Nanaimo, City of Victoria, Municipality of North Cowichan and the City of Duncan.

"Bang the Table is an innovative public engagement platform that is trusted by hundreds of local governments around the world, and it will greatly benefit the residents of Ladysmith," says Nicholas Pescod, the Town’s Communications & Engagement Specialist.

The launch of Let’s Talk Ladysmith is part of the Town of Ladysmith’s ongoing commitment to enhancing public engagement. Residents are strongly encouraged to register by visiting https://letstalk.ladysmith.ca/.
